Carriage Mounted Spreader Bar - This particular kind of mast has three sections as the name implies. The outside part is connected securely to the lift vehicle. The next part telescopes within the mounted outside part and the inner most section telescopes within the intermediate part. Both the intermediate and the internal part raise and the lift cylinders lengthen. Once again in this model, the fork carriage rides within the inner section. The 3 stage mast provides a shorter lowered height compared to the 2 stage mast. The common usage of the 3 stage mast is in areas like doorways where overhead clearances are restricted.
